Don’t tell the good folks at the Department of Education, but I don’t love the standards.
(The gulf between them and reality in a two-hour-a-week math class is nuts)
But I actually kind of like the Mathematical Practices.
I ‘translated’ them for my students this fall, to help a conversation about what it means to ‘do math’. And, now, letsnotcounthowmany months later, I got them formatted and shared.
